As part of its terminal expansion project, Hamad International Airport has opened a new Concourse E

Asian Aussie Business | Hamad International Airport (DOH) is happy to announce the launch of Concourse E as part of its most recent terminal development initiative. Designed to improve the passenger experience, this development prioritizes boarding efficiency, eliminates dependency on remote gates and buses, and combines accessibility and sustainability design.

The extension adds 51,000 square meters of space to the airport, including eight (8) additional contact gates, representing a 20% total increase that allows for speedier boarding and greater operational efficiency at the World’s Best Airport.

Further developments will be revealed in the coming weeks, including an expansion of Concourse D.

Concourse E features:

Advanced Self-Boarding Technology: Providing passengers with a more convenient travel experience by automatically scanning boarding passes.
Accessibility-Focused Design: Universal design features such as hearing loops, ramps, elevators, and roomy seating areas were incorporated to guarantee that guests with disabilities could move around easily.
Ergonomic Seating Arrangements: Various seating designs with built-in power outlets for passenger comfort.
Expanded Retail and Dining Options: A variety of new retail and dining options for all passengers.
Sustainable Infrastructure: The concourse, which features cutting-edge energy-efficient technology, innovative water management solutions, and optimum thermal comfort, demonstrates Hamad International Airport’s dedication to sustainability.
